What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you send us a contact form we keep the information about you until we are finished dealing with your inquiry. If it is a matter that take a long time to solve or a matter of contract we will transfer the information onto the contract or our manual personal information records, but when we have answered your inquiry we do not keep any information on computers. If you want us to delete all records of your information send a request on johneide1967@gmail.com, and we will delete all the information we hold on you, you can also inquire about it and get a record of what we keep of information about you, just for your sake of knowing.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. We do not share data with anyone, only internt on the websites for John Henning Eide and in the autoresponder for the same websites.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

On the autoresponder the information is kept until you press unsubscribe.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

What data breach procedures we have in place

We try to keep a minimum amount of data of personal character. When we keep it, it is only due to legal demand. Such as we must keep track of your orders due to taxation, but this information is transferred to our accounting, and is not kept on the internet system. We will always apply the safest procedures, and comply with all data breach procedures that leave all customers safe.

What third parties we receive data from

SendInBlue, MailChimps, WooCommerce, Contact 7 Form, are third parties we utilize in our webpages. Each of these applications do have their own policies, but we keep you informed of what information we have on you on each of these applications. Payment third parties applications we use are Stripe and PayPal, and here you will need to use your own account to leave personal information, but you can also pay without leaving much information. We guarantee that we do not store any information the third party application demand to be able to execute their service.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We do not use any automated decision making and/or profiling software, we believe in creating our business offline, and helping delivering the service only, online.
